The South African Social Security Agency has announced 93 contract job opportunities in the Free State for 2026. These positions are available for Grants Administration (80 posts) and Debt Management (13 posts) on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
- Screen clients upon arrival
- Assist with grant application readiness
- Support grant application processing
- Manage client queues and flow
- Assist with eligibility assessments
- Support biometric and self-service initiatives
File Management and Digitalisation
- Prepare physical files for scanning
- Digitise records and manage digital batches
- Support records disposal processes
- Conduct quality assurance on scanned files
System and Operational Support
- Update beneficiary records after reviews
- Support exception management processes
- Assist with automation and digital initiatives
- Help clients access digital services
Compliance and Monitoring
- Ensure all activities follow policy and procedures
- Support internal audits
- Contribute to service delivery improvements
Coordination and Reporting
- Work under supervision of managers
- Participate in operational planning
- Provide reports and updates when required

Main Duties
Successful candidates will:
- Maintain interest calculation spreadsheets
- Ensure accurate calculations on outstanding debts
- Trace public servants who signed Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) agreements
- Follow up with debtors who are not making required payments
- Compile and process AOD documentation
- Prepare handover lists for debt collectors
- Compile monthly payment reports
- Track payments and update records
- Perform additional administrative tasks related to debt management
