The Department of Health is inviting suitable applicants to apply for Messenger posts at Jubilee District Hospital. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with Grade 10 to Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification who have exposure to a hospital environment and can work well with patients, staff members, relatives and external clients.
There are 2 Messenger posts available, and successful candidates will support hospital administration by collecting files, handling documents and assisting with the movement of blood samples between hospital sections.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
Grade 10 to Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 3–5 qualification.
At least 1 year of exposure in a hospital environment.
Messenger experience.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude towards patients, relatives, staff members and external clients.
Knowledge and awareness of Batho Pele principles.
Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Collecting files from different sections of the hospital.
Taking and collecting blood samples from the blood bank and laboratory.
Performing messenger duties according to the required hospital standards.
Sorting patient files and loose documents.
Acting as a reliever when requested by the supervisor.
Completing other duties allocated by the supervisor.
