About the Fellowship
The Mercedes-Benz beVisioneers Fellowship 2025 is a 12-month, fully funded program empowering 1,000 young innovators (16–28) from South Africa and globally to tackle environmental challenges. Launched in 2023 by The DO School Fellowships and Mercedes-Benz, it provides mentorship, funding, and training to develop sustainable projects.
Programme Purpose
The fellowship equips South African and global youth with skills, resources, and networks to launch impactful environmental projects, fostering sustainability and leadership for a greener future.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a local environmental project addressing a specific issue.
- Participate in a 12-month curriculum on sustainability, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
- Engage in one-on-one mentorship and peer learning sessions.
- Collaborate with fellows across regions and disciplines.
- Attend online and in-person workshops (travel funded).
- Report project progress and outcomes with mentor support.

Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 16–28 (born 13 Jan 1996–14 Oct 2008).
- Reside in South Africa, Kenya, USA, India, or other eligible countries (50+).
- Strong English communication skills (program in English).
- Project idea or early-stage environmental initiative.
- No employment or familial ties to Mercedes-Benz.

- Willingness to engage in hybrid learning (online, in-person).
