Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Appropriate experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience in receiving and distributing stock will be an advantage
- Valid Driver’s Licence, Code B/EB
- Physical ability to lift heavy boxes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for general stores duties at Victoria Hospital and Southern Clinics. Duties include:
- Loading and offloading stock from vans
- Transporting goods to and from different sections within health facilities
- Packing stock in boxes according to required standards
- Receiving stock from the bulk store
- Preparing stock for courier distribution
- Preparing stock for collection by demanders
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the stores area
- Rotating stock on shelves using the FIFO method
- Moving hospital equipment when required
- Assisting with filing
- Assisting with stock-taking processes
