Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

Knowledge Required

Applicants should have knowledge of:

  • Employment Services Act
  • Public Service Act and Regulations
  • Batho Pele principles

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will support the Public Employment Services unit by assisting work-seekers and employers through the Employment Services of South Africa system.

Key duties include:

  • Registering work-seekers on ESSA
  • Registering work and learning opportunities on ESSA
  • Referring work-seekers for employment counselling services
  • Providing administrative support for the placement of work-seekers
  • Assisting with work and learning opportunity placements
  • Performing general administrative duties
  • Participating in advocacy sessions when required
