Description
Adherence to safe work procedures and compliance with company standards and regulations i.e., PPE
Data capturing related to shaft activities,
Reporting all abnormal shaft incidents and all equipment performances
Liaise with key stakeholders related to specific requests and requirements for shaft operations
Analyse activities in progress from previous shift to complete outstanding actions
Adhere to and operation within specific operating parameters
Inform next level supervisor when shaft activities become abnormal
Remove stop and start specific equipment
Monitor equipment and instrumentation performances and escalate non-performance and defects
Preparation of shift handover for next shift
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
Adherence to working schedules, including overtime, standby
Participation on SHE related campaigns and initiatives and conduct safe behavioral observations
Requirements
NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
Blasting / Trade certificate, Onsetter/Banksman qualification, or Winding Engine Drive would be advantageous
Scada operation experience would be advantageous
Minimum of 2-5 years experience within a mining shaft environment
Computer literate (Microsoft Office Package)
Ability to read and write English and communicate with people on different levels
Valid Certificate of physical fitness
Driver’s license
