About the DHL Job as GRA Clerk 2026
DHL is currently searching for exceptional candidates who would like a job as a qualified and well-rounded GRA Clerk based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The DHL GRA Clerk is responsible for managing and controlling assigned duties in accordance with established performance standards while supporting the continuous improvement of inventory processes. The role involves coordinating operational functions to optimize productivity, resource utilization, and customer service. The incumbent is expected to ensure accurate and timely service delivery, meeting customer requirements in full and within agreed timelines.
The GRA Clerk is also responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service while minimizing losses and protecting the company’s interests and reputation. The role requires strict adherence to inventory procedures, as well as all applicable health and safety, legal, and security requirements. The incumbent must follow established standard operating procedures for the goods-receiving function, meet relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), and complete administrative duties in accordance with operational requirements.
General Responsiblities as GRA Clerk
- Perform all administrative duties in accordance with the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Extract and submit reports on outstanding Proof of Deliveries (PODs), including comments on received PODs, ensuring submission is completed by 10:00 a.m
- Monitor and report all outstanding Return Stock Orders (RSOs).
- Compile daily reports of PODs received from customers and transporters to ensure all required documentation is received in accordance with agreed procedures
- Submit heat-log reports to monitor credits that are still pending processing
- Verify documents against exit documentation and notify the transport department of any missing invoices
- Investigate missing invoices with the transport department and follow up to ensure outstanding documentation is resolved
- Reconcile returns and uplifts against tally sheets, record forced uplifts, and assign appropriate reason codes to returned stock
- Process all returns and uplifts accurately in the system within 24 hours and in accordance with the applicable SOPs
- Process all received PODs daily to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Respond to customer queries and requests promptly, ensuring resolution within 72 hours and escalating unresolved matters to the appropriate superior
- Process credits daily and escalate any cases without feedback within 24 hours to the relevant superior
- Audit, file, and scan all PODs processed each day, and upload the required documentation to Oculus or the applicable customer POD portal.
