Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing registry and records management support within the Department of Education.
Main duties include:
- Providing registry counter services
- Attending to clients and assisting with enquiries
- Handling telephone and other registry-related enquiries
- Receiving and registering hand-delivered mail and files
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Receiving, sorting, registering and dispatching mail
- Distributing notices related to registry matters
- Opening and closing files according to the record classification system
- Filing, storing, tracing and retrieving documents and files manually and electronically
- Completing index cards for all files
- Operating office machines related to registry functions
- Updating registers daily
- Processing documents for archiving and disposal
