Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent.
• Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Auxiliary.
• Registration with SANC as a Nursing Auxiliary and proof of current registration.

Duties:

• To provide quality basic nursing care services under the supervision of Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses.
• To nurse patients within the scope of practices as defined by the SANC.
• To practice nursing care safely and ethically in allocated areas.
• Demonstrate ability to integrate knowledge, skills and attitude for the care patients.
• Implement infection control practices and proper medical waste management.
• To maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
• Compulsory shift work and flexibility.
• Must be prepared to work in allocated area due to service demands and work shifts as per allocations; this includes nightshift, weekends and public holidays.
