UIF Graduate Internship Programme 2027/2028 to 2029

The Department of Employment and Labour is inviting qualifying unemployed graduates to apply for the Unemployment Insurance Fund Graduate Internship Programme for the 2027/2028 to 2029 financial period.

The programme is designed to give graduates practical workplace exposure in their fields of study. The official advert contains 41 internship categories representing 109 available positions.

All the listed opportunities are based at the Unemployment Insurance Fund in Pretoria. Successful applicants will receive a stipend of R8 174.75 per month.

Who May Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed.
  • Hold the relevant undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 6 as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority.
  • Never have participated in an internship programme in either the public or private sector.
  • Meet the qualification, knowledge and skills requirements of the internship for which they are applying.

No previous work experience is required.

Applications close on 7 August 2026.

  • Certified documents must be provided on or before the interview date when requested by Human Resources.

  5. Send the application to the email assigned to that specific post.
  6. Apply before 23:59 on 7 August 2026.

Applications sent to the wrong email address or submitted without the correct reference number may be disqualified.
