TELECOM OPERATOR (X2 POSTS)
SALARY : R183 279 per annum
CENTRE : Groote Schuur Hospital, Obsavatory

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std. 7).

Inherent requirement of the job: Work shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Work overtim when required for operational needs. Experience Appropriate experience in operating an electronic switchboard and a messaging system.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to operate an electronic switchboard. Excellent listening skills and telephone etiquette. Computer literacy in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

DUTIES:

Operate electronic switchboards, answer telephonic queries, and deliver messages. Ensure that the switchboard and telephone equipment are in working order. Monitor, place, and record all cellular national, and international calls made. Effectively sending of bulk SMS’s. Perform administration duties in the paging office. Update speed dials and speed dial directory and report all telephone faults and switchboard errors to the Supervisor.
