DE BEERS GROUP is inviting PSIRA GRADE B registered individuals to apply for the Senior Patrol-Person posts that are available in their company. Selected candidates will be responsible for writing statements and opening case dockets as well as reporting to the Protection Services Officers.

MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Conduct observation activities to support investigations (where applicable).
• Audit the conformance to procedures.
• Support of investigations and the compilation of case documents.
• Effectively drive security vehicles.
• Conduct required drug and alcohol tests.
• Control the setting and responses to alarms (where applicable).
• Clean and inspect on equipment and firearms.
• Gather information through cultivating sources.
• Allocate tasks within a Protection Services Team.
• Promote Security awareness and identify and report problems encountered during working hours.
• Accurately complete role administration requirements.
• Support the rostering and administration of Protection Services team and also support the training of Protection Services team.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and personal image.
• Must only handle and use a gun for work purposes, and when necessary.
• Must be willing to work extra hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Clear criminal record
• Registered with the PSIRA Grade B
• Valid Driver’s license code B
• SAPS Firearm competency (Handgun or Shotgun)
• Matric certificate
• Company’s Drivers license (Advantageous)
• Psychometric Assessment

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Writing of statements and opening of case dockets.
• Use of Force Procedure
• Counter Industrial Action Practice
• Knowledge of Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
