About SACGRA
SACGRA is a graduate’s council established in terms of the Co-operative Amendment Act, No 6 of 2013 to grow a high calibre of youth and the advancement of graduate cooperatives as viable economic entities to fast track job creation, foreign direct investment and skills transfer to grow the economy in municipalities and rural areas.
It is a council established to provide skills development innovation, support, monitoring and evaluation as per the dictates of the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998 and in accordance with the mandate of the National Skills Development Strategy and any subsequent post school education and training policies in South Africa. The SACGRA is a member of the Presidential Youth Working Group established by President JG Zuma on June 9, 2015 to advise the President on matters affecting implementation of the youth policy. Mr Maqubela serves as the Chairperson of the Economic Participation & Transformation.

It is the goal of our Chairperson, Mr Maqubela to develop competent graduates that can become successful entrepreneurs / competitive and efficient employees in the workplace, not just for radical national economic development, but for international economic change with the contribution from competent graduates across the world.
We champion for the professionalization of cooperatives through capacity building, internship support, coops entrepreneurs assessment and business toolbox. The organization puts more emphasis on coops access to the market through private sector enterprise/supplier development programs and set aside by government entities. It is the goal of our Chairperson,
Mr Maqubela to grow viable, profitable and sustainable legacy campus coops.

1. Close the youth unemployment gap by connecting the youth to workplace training, entrepreneurship and manufacturing opportunities.
2. Help business & government connect with talented youth by building a career pipeline from colleges & universities to the world of work (employment & entrepreneurship).
3. Recruit, register, prepare and train the youth for workplace training.
4. Recruit, affiliate and incubate Co-operatives to secure sustainable and profitable private business contracts.
5. Build a pool of employers willing to host, mentor and transfer skills to students and graduates.
6. Create a network of medium and big business that will connect with potential managers, directors or suppliers.
7. Create value through reliable performance for employers, business and government.
