OVK is offering a learnership programme for South African students who are interested in the field of IT Development and would love to become future programmers. The OVK Programmer Learnership is a once in a lifetime opportunity that allows you to enhance your skills in becoming a legitimate programmer with the right kind of theoretical assessments and practical working sessions. As a learner, you will be required to write and maintain IT programmes, provide IT related services to the management, and tend to administrative duties. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be given a breadth of new knowledge that you can take with you as you begin your future career as a full-fledged programmer.

The OVK Programmer Learnership Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:
1. Basic Requirements

• Must possess a tertiary qualification in the field of IT software development
  • Or, currently in their final phase of pursuing their tertiary qualification in the field of IT software development
  • Or, currently in Grade 12 qualification with at least 3 years of practical experience dealing in the IT department.

2. Personal Skills

• Has strong communication abilities
• Can speak in both Afrikaans as well as English language
• Has a strong understanding of computer literacy
• Displays good organizational and numerical skills
• Prepared to work under pressure
• Can maintain confidentiality during the learnership
• Show impressive interpersonal abilities
• Can work well with other team members
• Has a strong grasp of analytical abilities
• Knows how to solve their problems well.
