Internship Programme: 2025 – 2027

The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is offering a 24-month internship programme at its Head Office in Midrand, Waterfall. This opportunity is open to unemployed South African graduates who have completed their qualifications at Institutions of Higher Learning and are seeking practical work experience related to their field of study. Additionally, students currently pursuing qualifications that require structured internships to meet academic criteria are encouraged to apply.

As part of its commitment to developing skills, the RSR aims to provide graduates and students with hands-on training and valuable workplace exposure. However, successful completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment.

Media and Communications Internship.
Financial Accounting Internship.
Supply Chain Management Internship.
Legal Services Internship.
Company Secretary Internship.
Internal Audit Internship.
Risk Management Internship.
Operations Internship.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
A postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a South African citizen.
Must not have previously taken part in an internship programme at any public or private institution.
Must submit the following documentation:
- A comprehensive CV
- A cover letter
- Certified copies of Identity Document
- Certified copies of Qualifications
- SAQA accreditation (if applicable for foreign qualifications)
