Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of the Data Capturer involves the following duties and responsibilities to be fulfilled:
- Accurately capture data into specified databases, spreadsheets, and software applications.
- Regularly update and maintain records to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct routine data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc reports to aid in program evaluation and informed decision-making.
- Provide administrative support to the Health and Wellness Division as needed.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Support other administrative tasks as directed by the line manager.
- Prepare documents, correspondence, and materials related to data management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness interventions.
- Capture and analyze data, create visual representations (graphs), and compile reports based on captured data.
- Write and maintain campus health and HIV office reports.
- Generate monthly reports on various indicators, including:
- Number of First Things Activations.
- Number of students tested for HIV.
- Number of students screened for TB.
- Attendance at Peer-to-Peer dialogues and workshops on topics like GBV, Mental Health, HIV, TB, STIs, SRH, Disability, LGBTQI, and substance abuse.
- Distribution of mental health and GBV questionnaires during awareness campaigns and dialogue sessions.
- Capture any additional data as required.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with patients for suitable times.
- Record patient information on electronic systems.
Inherent Job Requirements
Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
- At least one year of experience in data capturing and report writing.

- Familiarity with Department of Health programs (e.g., Tier.net).
