Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Human Resource Clerk position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
- Basic knowledge of relevant public service acts, policies, and HR prescripts
- Understanding of Human Resource practices in the Public Service

Human Resource Clerk Duties
The appointed candidates will support the Human Resource Management unit by performing a range of administrative and HR-related tasks, including:
- Implementing human resource administration procedures
- Assisting with recruitment and selection processes, including job advertisements
- Conducting transfer suitability checks
- Providing secretariat support during interviews
- Managing employee conditions of service, including:
- Leave administration
- Housing benefits
- Medical surveillance
- Injury on duty claims
- Long service recognition
- Overtime and relocation processes
- Pension and allowance administration
Additional responsibilities include:
- Processing PILIR applications (incapacity leave and ill-health retirement)
- Handling rank translation and grade progression
- Supporting Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) processes
- Processing employee terminations
- Responding to HR-related enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
