Position Overview
Midvaal Local Municipality is inviting applications for thirty (30) EPWP General Worker positions within the Public Safety and Roads & Engineering Services Department. Successful candidates will assist with maintenance, cleaning, and general operational duties to support municipal service delivery and infrastructure upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
- Assist with road maintenance and infrastructure support tasks
- Remove litter and maintain cleanliness in public areas
- Load and offload materials and equipment
- Support municipal teams with operational activities
- Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow workplace safety procedures and regulations
- Assist supervisors with any assigned duties
- Ensure work areas remain clean and organized
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification advantageous
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and under varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required
- Previous general worker experience will be an added advantage
