The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking dedicated individuals for a Temporary Messenger/Driver position at its Pretoria Head Office. This 12-month renewable contract offers an opportunity to support the Office of the Minister while gaining valuable experience in a government environment.

Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable)
Salary: R193,359 per annum, plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Key Responsibilities

Collect and deliver documents and correspondence to locations such as the Post Office and other departmental offices.
Transport employees, guests, and special advisors of the Minister to various destinations.
Provide general support functions within the Office of the Minister.
Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education: Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license (essential).
Experience: No prior work experience required.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of departmental policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with the Public Service Act and relevant legislation.
- Working knowledge of Ministry operations.
Skills:
- Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Computer literacy and time management.
- Driving proficiency and conflict resolution.
