In this role, the Stores Clerk will report directly to the Team Leader: Stores at the Pretoria Manufacturing site. As part of the Stores department, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of inventory management and providing essential supplies to various departments.
Key Purpose of the Job
The Stores Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, issuance, and maintenance of inventory levels to ensure that customers (both internal and external) receive the correct quantity and quality of spares, raw materials, tools, and equipment. Your efforts will help maintain the production flow by making sure the right materials are available when needed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Stores Clerk at CCBSA are varied and crucial to the overall manufacturing process. Some of the key duties include:
- Receiving and Issuing Inventory
You will be responsible for ensuring that inventory is received accurately and issued to the correct departments or personnel. This includes verifying the quantity and quality of materials received and ensuring that they are properly stored. - Problem Solving
Handling day-to-day challenges within the store environment, such as discrepancies in inventory or delivery issues, is a key part of this role. You will need to solve these situational problems efficiently to maintain smooth operations. - Safety and Housekeeping

Qualification & Experience:
Grade 12 or Equivalent: A minimum requirement for this role is a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics or an equivalent qualification.
Stores/Inventory Management Certificate: An additional certificate in stores or inventory management will be an advantage.
Experience: You should have at least 2 years of experience in a stores or inventory management role. Experience with SAP and Excel will be a major advantage, as it will allow you to manage stock and records more efficiently.
