Our General Assistants in the Woodwork Department play an important role in supporting daily production operations by assisting with material handling, housekeeping, waste management, and general operational support within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with woodwork waste management and material distribution
• Support machine shop operations as instructed by the line manager
• Move stock, materials, equipment, and furniture safely within the facility
• Load and off-load stock, furniture, and materials when required
• Assist production staff with general operational duties
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness within work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and operational standards
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or quality concerns
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the line manager

• Ability to perform physical and manual labour
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Pro-active and willing to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Flexible and willing to assist where needed
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, woodwork, production, or a similar environment advantageous
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
