Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Worker to maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of our premises. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can handle physical labor, manage garden upkeep, and perform various maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Garden Maintenance & Landscaping
Mow lawns, trim edges, and prune hedges or shrubs.
Water plants, apply fertilizer, and manage weed control.
Clear garden debris, leaves, and litter to keep the yard tidy.
Maintain and clean gardening tools and equipment.
Vehicle Care
Perform regular hand-washing and drying of vehicles.
Vacuum and clean the interior of vehicles, including windows and dashboards.
Report any visible vehicle defects or issues to the owner.
General Cleaning & Tidying
Sweep and wash driveways, walkways, and patio areas.
Clean external windows and ensure refuse bins are emptied and sanitized.
Assist with heavy cleaning tasks such as pressure washing or moving furniture.
Ad-Hoc Duties & Maintenance
Assist with minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs or basic painting.
Monitor the property for any safety hazards or maintenance needs (e.g., leaking taps, broken fences).
Support the company with manual labor tasks like loading or unloading deliveries.
Necessary Requirements
Matric
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work, lift heavy items, and work in various weather conditions.
Trustworthiness: Must have a high level of integrity as you will be working on private property.
Communication: Basic literacy to follow written instructions and report issues clearly. Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans
Punctuality: Consistent reliability regarding working hours.
Must reside in or around the Strand area
