You will be required to perform the duties below:

• Ready surfaces for painting by washing, smoothing, scraping, or fixing them as needed
• Coat various surfaces with paint, stain, primer, varnish, and other protective finishes
• Repair and maintain drywall, textured areas, and ceiling surfaces
• Safely assemble and operate scaffolding, ladders, and related equipment
• Blend, match, and adjust colours to ensure consistency with existing finishes
• Support the marking of lines for parking areas and roadways
• Safely manage and dispose of hazardous substances in accordance with MSDS standards

General Responsibilities as Painter

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming before painting
• Mix and match paints, stains, and coatings to achieve the required colours and finishes
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment according to specifications
• Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces prior to painting
• Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking tape, and coverings
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and client expectations
• Follow health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas after use
• Identify and report surface defects, moisture problems, or structural issues
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms safely
