About the Learnership
Truworths offers a 12-month Stores Learnership across all nine South African provinces, cross-training unemployed youth with Grade 10 or higher to work on sales floors and service desks. Ideal for those passionate about fashion, this program, likely aligned with W&RSETA, provides practical retail experience and an NQF certification.
Job Purpose
The learnership addresses 45.5% youth unemployment by equipping participants with retail skills, supporting Truworths’ mission to deliver stylish fashion and foster career growth in its 700+ stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with merchandise and build relationships.
- Merchandise stores per MBP principles and manage stock losses.
- Process payments and purchases on POS systems.
- Open new customer accounts and ensure security/safety.
- Complete logbooks and assessments for competency.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen, unemployed, under 35.
- Grade 10 or higher (Grade 12 preferred).
- No prior related learnerships completed.
