Tourism and Hospitality Learnership Opportunity

Stipend: R4,500.00 per month

The Department of Tourism invites applications for the Tourism Safety Monitor Programme. This is a 12-month learnership with 3 months of theoretical training followed by 9 months of practical training. People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Key Details:

• Duration: 12 months (3 months theory + 9 months practical)
• Location: Apply for positions within your local area.
• Contract: Successful candidates will sign a 12-month contract.

Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizen (valid ID)
• Unemployed youth aged 18–35
• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in English
• Additional qualifications in tourism or environmental fields are an advantage
• Must live within a 28 km radius of tourism sites (proof of residence required)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Passion for the tourism industry
• Must not have prior experience in the program
