Job Purpose
The Temp Forklift Driver ensures efficient movement of palletized materials in the Stores Department, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. This fixed-term role supports CCBSA’s warehouse operations, offering entry-level experience for youth in logistics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Move palletized materials from specified origins to destinations.
- Stack and un-stack palletized materials per set standards.
- Refuel forklifts and conduct daily inspections using checklists.
- Audit and report accuracy of split pallet loads.
- Perform ad hoc warehouse administrative tasks.
- Adhere to safety standards, including PPE usage.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen with a valid ID.
- Grade 12 with ability to read, write, and count.
- At least 1 year of work experience (any field).
- Valid Forklift License from a certified body.
- Physically fit (no back problems) with good eyesight (both eyes).
- Clear criminal record, verified via background checks.
Behavioral Competencies
- Maintain housekeeping and safe forklift driving practices.
- Good communication and verbal skills.
- Numeracy for auditing pallet loads.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions.
