As a Butchery General Assistant at SPAR, you’ll help with the everyday tasks in the butchery department. Your job is important in making sure our customers get top-quality products and great service. You’ll assist with preparing meat, keeping the area clean, and helping customers.

What you’ll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

Help with cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products according to the standards and guidelines.
Ensure the butchery area is kept clean and sanitary by regularly cleaning equipment, surfaces, and floors.
Keep track of inventory, restock shelves, and notify the supervisor of any shortages or issues.
Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the highest quality products.
Assist with labeling and pricing of products accurately.
Help with receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy.
