The Shoprite Group is offering bursary programme in five (5) different study fields for individuals who require financial aid to pursue their education. The Shoprite Group Bursaries is a remarkable opportunity that allows you to obtain immediate financial assistance to support your educational pursuit. Shoprite is currently on the search for more bright-minded university students who are passionate about their respective study fields and are willing to grow into positive contributors towards their local communities.

The Shoprite Group Bursaries is currently opening several bursary positions for the following fields:

• x10 Biological and Agricultural Sciences (Ref. No.: SHO250131-9)
• x10 Food Sciences (Ref. No.: SHO250131-8)
• x60 Retail Business Management (Ref. No.: SHO250131-7)
• x10 Accounting (CA Stream – SAICA) (Ref. No.: SHO250131-6)
• x10 Supply Chain & Logistics (Ref. No.: SHO250131-5)

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Shoprite Group Bursaries must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. The Shoprite Group Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
• 60% + Aggregate of score
• Currently 27 years old and below
• 2nd, 3rd, or 4th academic year

By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to the selection committee to have your personal information utilized for registration purposes.

Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone discovered to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the registration period.

Candidates must process their applications through the portal provided above. Submissions made through other methods, such as email or fax, will not be accepted by the selection committee.

Important Note
Shoprite will be implementing their Employment Equity policies during the recruitment process. The programme is currently open for both internal and external recruitment. However, consideration will be offered to internal candidates first before moving onto external candidates – provided that this helps the company fulfill their Employment Equity goals.

Closing Date
Applications for the Shoprite Group Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 30 April 2025.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.

Candidates are advised to send in their applications as soon as possible. This will leave you with some time to properly evaluate the contents of your applications. Kindly prepare your applications at your earliest convenience.
