Position Purpose
The Grade C Security Officer – Branch Reliever position at Servest Security in the Western Cape is a contract role designed to provide professional security services on a relief basis. Officers will perform client-specific duties, such as patrolling, access control, and incident response, ensuring safety and security. Key Responsibilities
- Perform client-specific security duties, including patrolling and access control, as directed.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with Servest Security protocols and client requirements.
- Conduct regular checks of premises to prevent unauthorized access or activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members in English.
- Present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Travel to various branch locations in the Western Cape as a reliever, using own transport.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen with a valid ID, aged 18–45 (preferred).
- Valid PSIRA Grade C1 certificate, certified and up to date.
- Matric certificate (or affidavit with school details if lost).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the security industry.
- Fluency in English (speaking, writing, and understanding).
- Clear criminal record, verified through background checks.
- Ability to self-post to various Western Cape locations (no company transport provided).
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

- Additional security training certifications (e.g., firearm competency, crowd control).
