Saint-Gobain Electrical and Instrumentation Technician YES Programme Duties

• Maintain and service the electrical systems of production machinery to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair electrical breakdowns promptly by applying effective fault-finding techniques to minimize production downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Verify that all machine safety devices are fully operational and functioning as intended at all times.
• Maintain and regularly inspect electrical protection settings to ensure equipment safety and operational reliability.
• Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on variable speed drives (VSDs), electronic control cards, and other mechatronic components.
• Maintain production equipment to a consistently high standard to support safe and efficient plant operations.
• Identify and source suitable electrical spare parts to improve Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
• Complete all assigned World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tasks accurately and within the required timeframes.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and support fitters in conducting root cause analyses to prevent recurring failures.
• Follow all reasonable instructions and work assignments issued by the Foreman or other authorized supervisors.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and accurately complete maintenance activities using the SAP Plant Maintenance system.
• Provide technical support to the production team by assisting with operational issues whenever required.
• Comply with all Saint-Gobain policies, factory rules, and workplace safety requirements.
