Key Responsibilities
As a Paramedic in this mining operation, you will be the first responder to all emergency situations on-site. You’ll need to remain calm under pressure, make fast decisions, and follow strict health and safety procedures.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act No. 29 of 1996)
- Providing emergency medical care, stabilizing patients, and arranging transport to medical facilities
- Assessing and treating trauma injuries, controlling bleeding, and responding to accidents on-site
- Handling life-threatening emergencies like cardiac arrests and allergic reactions
- Leading on-site emergency medical teams
- Participating in continuous professional development and refresher tr

Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you must meet the following:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Diploma in Emergency Medical Care
