About the Laundry Assistant Job
The Laundry Assistant position is based at Life Anncron Hospital and reports directly to the Laundry Supervisor. Your main duty will be to handle all laundry-related tasks in the hospital.

What You Will Be Doing Daily
As a Laundry Assistant, your daily tasks will include:
- Collecting dirty linen from different hospital units
- Washing, ironing, and folding clean linen
- Distributing fresh linen back to the hospital departments
- Making sure each unit has enough linen at all times
- Checking the quality of linen before giving it out
- Weighing laundry daily to keep records accurate
- Keeping the linen storage area clean and organized
- Recording all linen collected and delivered
- Removing, washing, and rehanging curtains in hospital wards
This job requires someone who can stay organized and work quickly without making mistakes. Cleanliness and attention to detail are very important in a hospital environment.
Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare laundry environment will be an advantage
