Eduvos is looking to employ the services of a Academic Programme Convener (Faculty of Commerce and Law) to be based at our Eduvos Midrand campus. Type of Position:Permanent The Position:To manage the day-to-day delivery of lecturing of Commerce and Law qualifications.
Minimum qualification:Relevant Master’s degree in the field of Law or AccountingExperience:At least five years’ experience as a lecturer in the higher education industryEither demonstrated management potential or management experience of at least two yearsPublishing in academic journals will be advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:Accountability areas – operating / financial results accountable for:Accountable for the operational delivery of lecturing related to Commerce and Law programmes (lecturer performance)Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hubOperational process outputs:Qualification related subject matter expertiseThe management of academic delivery, resource planning and the management of lecturersManagement:BudgetsInput into academic budgetICA claims processingOperational planning e.g., programme implementation planning and training (per mode of delivery) incl. sequence, prerequisites, etc. (academic planner)Monitoring, control, corrective actionReporting – regular feedback as per Program Manager requirements and Head of ProgrammesEscalations / Decisions / Problem solvingResourcing and capacity management (people; equipment)Leadership:Talent acquisition, selection and onboardingIndividual performance management – role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actionsCulture, climate and change
