Job Purpose
The P40 Sales Assistant role at Dunns, Port Shepstone Mall, is a permanent position designed to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales through effective merchandise presentation. Ideal for Matric holders with previous sales experience, this role involves achieving sales targets, assisting with store operations, and maintaining a customer-focused environment. With a market-related salary (approximately R4,500–R7,000/month plus commissions), it offers stability and growth for two candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve daily, monthly, and weekly sales targets to maximize store turnover.
- Provide superior customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
- Implement store layout and merchandise presentation to enhance the shopping experience.
- Protect store assets, including stock, cash, and equipment, to minimize losses.
- Ensure accurate administration for stock room, mark-downs, and lay-by processes.
- Maintain effective merchandise replenishment to keep shelves stocked.
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized store environment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for all store operations.
- Collaborate with team members and management to support daily store activities.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen with a valid ID, aged 18–35 (preferred).
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Previous sales experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- No criminal record, verified through background checks.
- Computer literacy for basic administrative tasks.
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

- Residents of Port Shepstone or surrounding KwaZulu-Natal areas.
