Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Store Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Handling and reporting customer compliments and complaints to management.
- Building strong professional relationships with customers.
- Resolving customer stock queries quickly and efficiently.
- Providing excellent communication and feedback to customers when needed.
- Assisting customers with enquiries and referring them to the correct departments.
- Managing shortages and excesses at the point of sale, including cash floats.
- Handling refunds and returns accurately and professionally.
- Ensuring returned goods and back shopping are dealt with correctly.
- Checking deliveries and invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assisting the Receiving Manager with Distribution Centre claims.
- Managing and controlling high-risk stock items.
- Preparing daily cash reconciliations.
- Ordering and receiving branch change requirements to ensure cashiers always have sufficient change.
- Maintaining effective communication between all relevant departments.
- Keeping proper document control for floats, petty cash, and cash on hand.
