Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the hospital storeroom.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, inspecting and recording incoming goods
- Checking delivered stock against the relevant documentation
- Storing products safely and according to Supply Chain Management procedures
- Picking, packing and issuing stock to internal hospital departments
- Applying FIFO and LIFO stock-management methods where required
- Helping to prevent stock from expiring
- Conducting regular stock counts
- Assisting with inventory audits
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Updating inventory and stock-control systems
- Monitoring stock levels
- Reporting shortages, damaged goods and stock discrepancies
- Keeping the storeroom clean, safe and organised
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries
- Supporting general logistics and supply chain activities
