Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this cleaner vacancy, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 10–12 or equivalent qualification
- At least one year of proven cleaning experience
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and machinery
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment
- Understanding of government policies and procedures
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Knowledge of hospital operational frameworks
Advantage:
- Previous hospital cleaning experience
Preference will also be given to EPWP trainees and administrative interns currently serving or who have served in the department, in line with Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within the healthcare facility. Duties include:
- Cleaning offices, passages, waiting areas, and toilets
- Mopping, polishing floors, and dusting surfaces
- Cleaning and polishing furniture, walls, doors, frames, windows, and lockers
- Cleaning outside areas and removing waste bags
- Performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Following healthcare waste management policies
- Carrying out additional duties assigned by supervisors
