Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

- Ability to support the housekeeping supervisor and follow approved cleaning policies and procedures.
Inherent Requirements of the Job

- Carry out physically demanding tasks.
- Operate heavy-duty cleaning and household equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide an effective cleaning and housekeeping service at Mossel Bay Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Dusting hospital areas.
- Washing and cleaning surfaces.
- Scrubbing and polishing floors and other areas.
- Removing refuse.
- Maintaining clean and hygienic hospital environments.
- Following occupational health and safety requirements.
- Complying with infection prevention and control measures.
- Assisting the housekeeping supervisor with general duties.
- Helping control cleaning and household equipment.
- Assisting with the care and control of hospital linen.
- Assisting with serving meals to patients when required.
