Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the smooth, efficient and effective flow of documents within the Office of the Director-General.
Key duties include:
- Receiving and distributing documents between the Office of the Director-General, the Department and other relevant structures
- Managing documents involving cluster committees and external role players
- Filing all documents according to the approved File Plan of the Office of the Director-General
- Ensuring records are managed in accordance with the National Archives Act and relevant Management Information System prescripts
- Providing general administrative support within the Office of the Director-General
- Studying relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts
- Ensuring that relevant departmental policies, regulations and administrative procedures are properly understood and applied
