Job title: Data Capturer
Type: Permanent ☐ Fixed Term ☒ Temporary ☐


Main purpose of the job: Capture data accurately and in a timeous manner. Ensure smooth running of
the administrative duties, the day-to-day activities.


Location: 7 Esselen Street, Hillbrow, Shandukani CRS
Closing date: 23 February 2026

In accordance with our Employment Equity goals and plan, preference will be given to suitable applicants

thereto.

Key performance areas:
Accurately capture and export data on different databases. e.g. Redcap, Medidata. Inform etc
Identify missing data, inconsistencies, and errors and follow up or report on missing data or errors.
Refer administrative support to the Data Manager/Line Manager.
Ensure smooth running of day to day administrative duties.
Resolve data queries and logical checks.
Maintain organized records of al data entry activities
Prepare reports or summaries based on captured data
Liaise with team members to clarify information
Follow instructions from the data management team regarding data handling processes
Quality assures all data related to SOP’s.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities with the nature of the role.


Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12
Computer and excellent typing skills are essential.


Required minimum work experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data entry and administration.


Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Knowledge of Good Clinical practice.
Experience in a health care environment.
Good administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database packages.
Demonstrated data capturing speed and accuracy.
Thorough with good attention to detail.
Able to work to deadlines.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-management.
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
Take ownership for driving own career development
