Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Community Animal Health Workers will perform duties such as:

  • Counting and recording cattle for dipping activities.
  • Monitoring water levels in dipping tanks and mixing dipping solutions.
  • Supervising the dipping process and cleaning the dipping area post-use.
  • Performing minor repairs to dipping tanks.
  • Safeguarding dipping chemicals and materials.
  • Reporting any defects or issues to the Animal Health Technician.
  • Assisting with vaccinations, treatments, and restraining animals during procedures like castration and dehorning.
