About the Internship Programme
The City of Johannesburg Internship Programme 2025 offers unemployed youth an 18-month opportunity to gain practical skills in the CRUM Department. Targeting graduates in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, and Communications, it provides a R10,109.86 monthly stipend and promotes inclusivity.
Programme Purpose
The programme enhances administrative and professional skills, helping Johannesburg youth (18–35) transition into the workforce, supporting South Africa’s youth development and economic transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in service delivery coordination across Johannesburg regions.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities.
- Compile and analyse qualitative and quantitative reports.
- Perform internal communications tasks.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen, resident of Johannesburg.
- Aged 18–35 years at programme start.
- Grade 12/Matric certificate.
- National Diploma or Degree (360 credits) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications.
- No prior internship related to field of study.
Required Skills
