Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum qualification of ABET Level 4 or Grade 10
- Must be able to read and write
- Must be willing and able to work shifts
- CSSD and Theatre experience in a hospital setting will be an added advantage
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting CSSD duties within the hospital. Duties include:
- Folding, packing and autoclaving linen
- Washing soiled instruments and packing them correctly
- Packing single instruments and sharps
- Sterilising loan sets
- Counting and controlling instruments
- Packing packs used in hospital wards
- Issuing sterile packs to wards and casualty
- Preparing disinfectants for theatre cleaning and instrument washing
