About the University of Pretoria:
The University of Pretoria (UP) is a leading research-intensive institution committed to excellence and diversity. As part of its ongoing operations, UP is seeking two dedicated Warehouse Helpers to join the Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and control redundant assets.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe store environment.
  • Ensure timely execution of all sectional business processes.
  • Facilitate internal movements within agreed timeframes.
  • Deliver new and old furniture to various departments.
  • Respond promptly to PeopleSoft requests.
  • Complete transfer documents and ensure proper handover to the Store Manager.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and undergo regular inspections.
  • Assist with the sale process by placing tender documentation on assets designated for sale.
  • Maintain cleanliness and assist with the numbering and marking of items with tender numbers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 10 qualification.
  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience, including:
    • Store management.
    • Administration.
    • Asset environment experience.

  • Knowledge of asset and store environments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in email and telephone etiquette.
