Dis-Chem Pharmacies seeks Casual Cashiers for stores in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Rustenburg, Cape Town, Paarl, and Jeffrey’s Bay to process payments and deliver excellent customer service. This part-time role, requiring only Grade 12, is ideal for unemployed youth seeking flexible retail experience in South Africa’s leading pharmacy chain.
Job Purpose
The role addresses 45.5% youth unemployment by offering accessible retail jobs, supporting Dis-Chem’s mission to provide world-class customer service and pharmacy care across 150+ stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payments (cash, cards, vouchers) and handle loyalty cards (e.g., Discovery, eBucks).
- Provide customer service, address complaints, and report to supervisors.
- Manage cash flow, secure money in drop safe, and process returns/exchanges.
- Maintain till security, report suspicious behavior, and adhere to store policies.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen, unemployed.
