You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Follow safe working practices at all times by complying with workplace health and safety regulations, using the appropriate protective equipment, and reporting potential hazards promptly
- Pick products accurately by selecting the correct items and quantities in accordance with customer orders, ensuring a high level of accuracy and minimizing picking errors
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards by keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and free from hazards to promote a safe and efficient working environment
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) by following established warehouse processes and company guidelines to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance.
General Duties as Picker
- Pick products accurately according to customer orders, picking slips, or RF scanner instructions
- Verify product codes, quantities, and descriptions before completing each order
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during storage and transportation
- Label completed orders correctly for dispatch and delivery
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies before picking and packing
- Load and unload stock safely using appropriate manual handling techniques or warehouse equipment
- Organize inventory by storing products in their designated warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records by reporting stock shortages, overages, or damaged goods
- Operate handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to record stock movements
- Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits
- Replenish picking locations to ensure sufficient stock is available for order fulfilment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area in accordance with housekeeping standards
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures while performing daily duties
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy targets set by the business
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order progress, stock issues, and operational requirements
- Support general warehouse operations and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
