About the Armed Guard Officer Position
The Armed Guard Officer is responsible for protecting people, property, and business assets by maintaining security at the assigned site. Officers are expected to remain alert throughout their shifts, monitor activities, and take immediate action whenever security threats or emergencies occur.

Main Responsibilities
As an Armed Guard Officer, your daily duties may include:
- Conduct regular patrols around the premises.
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access.

- Respond immediately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12).
OR
- Grade 10 or Grade 11 with at least five years of security industry experience.
Applicants must also have:
- A valid PSIRA Grade C Certificate.
- At least two years of experience in the security industry.
- Previous experience working as an Armed Guard or Armed Response Officer.
- Proven experience working in high-risk environments such as mining or industrial operations.
- Firearm Competency Certificates for all three firearm categories, including business purposes.
- A valid medical fitness certificate.
- No criminal record, supported by SAPS fingerprint clearance.
- A valid Code 8 (B) driver’s licence or higher, depending on site requirements.
- Must currently reside in Secunda.
