About the Gfleet General Assistant Position

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Moving Furniture and Equipment
The General Assistant will help move furniture, office equipment and other assets between approved locations.
Before moving any item, the employee must ensure that a fully completed and authorised asset movement form and job card have been received.
The employee will also be expected to:
- Move furniture and equipment safely.
- Use suitable trolleys when transporting heavy items.
- Use protective covers to prevent damage.
- Assist with setting up venues for meetings and events.
- Follow the correct asset-control procedures.
Minor Maintenance and Facilities Support
The successful applicant will perform basic preventative maintenance duties around the premises.

Reporting Defects and Faults
Daily facilities inspections will form part of the position.
The General Assistant will be required to:

- Obtain job cards for maintenance work.
