The successful applicant will provide personnel administration and clerical support at the Military Health Training Formation headquarters.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Grade 12 certificate at NQF Level 4 or an equivalent recognised qualification
- No previous work experience is required
- Basic knowledge of clerical and administrative duties
- The ability to capture and update information accurately
- Basic computer literacy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Planning and organisational skills
- The ability to collect, organise and report statistics
- An understanding of workplace procedures
- Basic knowledge of the legislation and policies governing the South African Public Service
Candidates should be able to work accurately, handle personnel information responsibly and communicate effectively with employees and management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide personnel administration and clerical support services within the headquarters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing general personnel administration support
- Assisting with the implementation of employee conditions of service
- Processing and maintaining leave records
- Assisting with housing and medical benefit administration
- Supporting subsistence and travel administration
- Assisting with injury-on-duty documentation
- Processing long-service recognition information
- Supporting overtime, relocation and allowance administration
- Assisting with pension and termination-of-service processes
- Supporting absence-without-leave administration and related personnel processes
- Providing administrative support during recruitment and selection processes
- Capturing and updating employee information on the relevant personnel systems
- Maintaining personnel files and employee records
- Keeping the departmental leave register updated
- Maintaining attendance registers
- Arranging official travel and accommodation
- Ensuring personnel documents are filed safely and accurately
This position requires a responsible and organised individual who can manage confidential employee information and complete administrative tasks within the required deadlines.
