The RCL Foods Millwright Apprenticeship is offering an accredited training session for artisan who are looking for work exposure and training sessions with subjects that may correspond to the National Technical Certificate.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

• Perform all non-specialized maintenance tasks within your assigned unit, following defined guidelines
• Coach and develop the engineering capabilities of maintenance and operational staff
• Recommend initiatives for continuous improvement
• Participate in WCM activities and operate in line with established Engineering and SHE policies and standards
• Diagnose and interpret technical problems to optimize production output, and collaborate with your team to complete plant repairs
• Maintain service levels by executing breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance to the required standards
• Reduce breakdowns by analyzing root causes, adhering to PPM requirements, and implementing continuous improvement measures
• Contribute to strategic engineering plans designed to improve maintenance processes and reduce breakdowns (RCM)
• Identify major engineering losses in your area and investigate them using Kaizen problem-solving tools such as Fishbone and 5 Whys
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations while upholding Unilever’s safety and 5S standards
• Develop OPLs and SOPs, and use them to train and mentor other maintenance and operational staff in engineering skills.

• Operate and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems used in industrial environments
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Identify equipment issues, analyze root causes of failures, and implement effective troubleshooting techniques to maintain system reliability and minimize downtime.
